Lubes for anal fisting

The anal sphincter is a muscle, like any other in the body. With practice, it becomes more flexible and relaxed. Do not expect to take a whole hand from day one – it takes patience and gradual training.

The most popular lubricants for fisting are J-Lube and Crisco, either separately or mixed.

J-Lube

J-Lube is a powdered lubricant that you mix yourself to the desired consistency – from thin and runny to thick and sticky.

Start with a bowl that can handle hot water and add 1–2 tablespoons of powder. Boil about a liter of water and slowly pour it in while whisking. Avoid clumps – a hand whisk or stick blender can help.

Adjust the thickness as needed: more powder for thicker, more water for thinner. J-Lube thickens over time, so make it slightly thinner than you want it when using.

Pour into a bottle or container for easy dosing. Let cool before use. Store in the fridge for up to three weeks.

Crisco

Crisco is an American baking fat often used as a lubricant for fisting. It is oil-based and comes in a firm block with a resealable lid.

Use a clean spoon to scoop Crisco, especially if sharing. Oil-based products can dissolve latex – use nitrile gloves and avoid latex condoms for up to 24 hours after use.

Body heat makes Crisco liquid, providing smooth motion. It absorbs slowly, ideal for longer sessions, and forms a protective layer in the rectum, so other lubricants like J-Lube last longer.

Mixing Crisco and J-Lube

Many prefer a Crisco and J-Lube mix for the best of both: J-Lube’s glide and Crisco’s longevity.

Mix J-Lube as described. Melt 2–3 tablespoons of Crisco (1½–2 min microwave or small pot) and stir into the J-Lube mixture. The result is a smooth white lubricant perfect for extended play.
