Lesbian Pride

The most widespread lesbian pride flag today is the so-called “orange-to-pink” version, which became popular in 2018. The flag was created to represent the diversity among lesbians and to give visibility to women who love women.

The flag has seven horizontal stripes in different shades:

• Dark orange (top): Gender independence and gender non-conformity.
• Light orange: Freedom, community, and healing.
• Light brown: Diversity among lesbians, especially representing butch and queer lesbians.

• Pink: Love and sweetness.
• Strong pink: Femininity.
